“Healing begins in the Garden.” ⁃ Deb Soule, Avena Botanicals

Participants will gather in the healing gardens at Churchtown Dairy. Here we will meet a number of plants traditionally grown for their medicine, aiding the physical, emotional, and energetic bodies. Topics discussed will include practical uses of herbs from first aid, to more esoteric considerations such as flower essences. With pens to paper we will investigate these magnificent plant forms via blind contour and intuitive drawing techniques. As a group, participants may share drawings created from their time spent with plants & the impressions gathered by simply sitting in their presence. All ages and experience levels welcome. Come prepared with personal sketch pad and any writing utensils desired (pen, pencil, crayon, watercolor, pastel, etc).
